Alumina-magnesia-carbon brick refers to a refractory product made of super bauxite or corundum sand, magnesia sand and flaky graphite as the main raw materials. Its characteristics are high corrosion resistance and not easy to peel due to carbon content at high temperatures, it also has the advantages of high residual linear expansion rate due to the formation of spinel when heated during use, making it a newly developed high-quality lining brick, containing Al2O3 60%~69%, MgO 7%~14%, C 5%~12%.
Alumina-magnesia-carbon bricks are mainly used for the lining of steelmaking drums, large continuous casting tundishes and the metal zone and bottom of refining ladles under harsh service conditions.
