Alumina-chrome castables are made with corundum as aggregate, high quality alumina cement as binding agent, and mixed several additives. Due to the increase in chrome content, the bending strength is significantly improved at 1400°C. The reaction between alumina and chrome produces an alumina-chrome solid solution, and the linear changes from shrinkage to expansion after re-heating. It is also with the increase of alumina content, the slag resistance of the material is improved, especially the slag permeability resistance is significantly improved.
Product application:
Alumina-chrome castables are used in various industrial furnaces and kilns, large and medium-sized power plant boilers, waste incinerators, oxidizing atmosphere smelting furnaces and other high-temperature industrial equipments.
